Wool, and a Surprise!

These are the treasures I found at Mim's...
Silk; its peaches and oranges and reds. Ooooh so pretty! Died by Mim of course!
BFL; more oranges and reds and a bit of yellow...
And her forte, Shetland!
Correct me if I'm wrong Mim, this is Shetland with silk noil? Spins up very nice, as you will see!
Here is the green batt...
The picture doesnt do it justice, I just couldnt get the right light, it is really quite pretty!
And the surprise???? 10 pullet Araucanas! I just couldnt stand it any more! Im going to turn our red storage shed into a roost and laying area. Im so excited!

Do you eat those auracanas Becky or do they give you eggs?
Lovely fibre...I'm sure you will do the silk justice with your amazing spinning.
I am going to a shetland sheep shearing this weekend to buy a nice (hopefully) shetland fleece!

Ahhh, chicks! Those are the ones that lay colored eggs, right?

Nice chicks! I got just four new chicks today. Remember if you have too many hens I get first dibs on your extras! That fiber is BFL and silk noil, your yarn is super!

You live a half a state away from Mim and I a mere three miles. I can't believe you can get there and I cannot. Nine working days left Becky and then I shall be unleashed to visit with my friends - look out!

Oh, congrats on the Easter Eggers! I would be quite happy if ALL my hens were Easter Eggers; love the many colors both the chickens and their eggs come in, and they are sweet besides.

I forgot to order Easter Eggers! Well maybe next year. Thanks for the advice on our chicks. Wonder fiber and congrats on your son's Graduation.
