Last of Three... Pogonip? Hoarfrost? Cold?

OK, so if you read the 2nd post of the day, you know it was foggy yesterday, BUT what I didnt show you was this...

I stopped just as I left my driveway this morning and snapped this. This kind of thing happens every few years here, I should have seen it for what it was yesterday, but I was too self-absorbed about shooting in the cold :)

My horses don't seem to mind, as long as they have their grub!

The neighbors house is a sight with all those trees...

Thought this was an interesting picture...

Whew! OK, that's all :)

This January has been a weather smorsgabord, hasn't it. We had, and still have, the same freezing fog. It's not my favorite to drive in, but I'd take that over the earlier icey roads, n e day of the week. And it is pretty, when you're not driving in it.

Hey, I think homespun yarn certainly qualifies as a "handmade gift"!

All I can say is I'm glad I don't dig wells...as my a-- has been freezing off each time I go out to take care of the sheep! :) I feel like I did when I was ten and my mom would layer me in warm clothes PLUS have a snowsuit on me! I don't think I could ever bend my arms until spring. LOL!
If my "Frost Free" faucet would only unfreeze and give me a break from hauling water from the house for the sheep!

rofl! I have those! And they are only frost free if you take the hose off and let them drain :) I know because my kids do most of the feeding at my house, and we have been trying to learn this lesson for years now! I think they are tired of hauling water, we havent had one freeze all year! lol
